Catalogs, the annual publications of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, primarily provide information about the academic programs of the university to prospective and current students, faculty and staff. Included are admission procedures, academic regulations and requirements, available campus services, financial, and social/organizational information. Today’s catalogs are published by the Office of the Registrar.
Catalogs published until 1945 by Baylor Female College and Mary Hardin-Baylor College were titled “Quarterlies” because they were edited by the faculty and published four times a year. These quarterlies contained announcements of courses or subjects offered, the annual Report of the Trustees and the President, and news articles about the college. Included in these publications until 1957-58 were Registers of current students listed according to their class designations.
